Chrome Extension
The CB Cam Insights Chrome extension provides valuable insights for your broadcasts that enable you to analyze how you are progressing as a Chaturbate performer and get you all the important stats of your tippers.
Installing the chrome extension
The CB Cam Insights chrome extension is available for free as a download on the CB Cam Insights website (it was removed from the Chrome webstore for "providing functionality only on pornographic sites") and can be used by any Chaturbate broadcaster without a CB Cam Insights subscription - you only need the subscription for advanced additional features.
To configure the CB Cam Insights Chrome Extension follow these steps:
Download and install the Chrome Extension from the CB Cam Insights website.
Right click on the downloaded zip file, then click "Extract Here" or ("Extract All").
Open the extension page in Chrome. There are several ways to do that.
- Option 1: type chrome://extensions in the url bar and press enter.
- Option 2: click on the tree dots in the top right of the browser, then click "More tools" then click "Extensions".
Activate developer mode. Turn on the switch on the top right of the page that says "Developer mode".
Load unpacked extension Click on the button on the top left of the page that says "Load unpacked". Then select the folder that you extracted the zip file to.
Open Chrome and go to chaturbate.com. The chrome extension will only be active on chaturbate.com, so you can only configure it when you're browsing on Chaturbate.
Find the extension by clicking on the puzzle looking button in your Chrome toolbar to the right of your navigation bar. You might want to pin the chrome extension for easy access.
Go to your user settings page in CB Cam Insights and copy your Cam Insights Api Key by clicking the "Copy to clipboard" button next to it.
Paste the Cam Insights Api Key in the input box with the same name in the chrome extension and click Test to confirm that you can authenticate with CB Cam Insights. The button should turn green and enable the Save button.
Click the Save Upload Settings to save your settings.
Features for everyone
The current stats collected by the CB Cam Insights Chrome extension for everyone are:
- The total sum of tokens you received during your broadcast
- An overview chart of all token tips over time during your broadcast
- The number of followers you added during your broadcast
- Snapshots of the number and type of viewers in regular intervals - you will see the distribution of viewers from anonymous to super tippers in an overview chart
- The top tippers of your broadcast
- Ability to easily tweet out your top tippers for your broadcast with a single button click!
- The top Chaturbate hashtags through which your viewers discovered and joined your room
- Interaction history by viewer type throughout your broadcast. This is useful to determine what engages your room and gets the conversation going.
Additional subscriber features
As a CB Cam Insights subscriber, additional information about your tippers is shown in the Chaturbate chat window (we call it the magic chat extension ✨).
For each tipper you will see the number of cam sessions they have joined and how many tokens they tipped you overall. This data is is updated as long as you have an active CB Cam Insights subscription.
Additionally clicking on any tipper name in the Chaturbate chat user list will bring up a chart of the tip history for that tipper.
As a CB Cam Insights subscriber, the Chaturbate hashtag distribution insights are also uploaded to CB Cam Insights which you can then review in the cam session details for each of your broadcasts.
To enable this feature you have to check the "Upload to CB Cam Insights" option in the settings section of the chrome extension.
We also provide additional info for you to get quickly contextual information about each of your tippers when you need them - what did they talk to me about? What is their schedule, on what days and times do they tip? Do I have any additional notes?
This is going to give you all the information and background you need to engage your best tippers.
Upload to CB Cam Insights
The chrome extension can be configured to upload full cam session details to CB Cam Insights if you have third party access turned off for your Chaturbate profile for privacy reasons - reach out to support to get that set up for you. If you are CB Cam Insights Pro subscriber, you should also check this option to upload hashtag join stats - you will get hashtag join distribution stats for each of your broadcasts and stats over time in your tags section.
tip
If you want to use CB Cam Insights without enabling third party access, leveraging the chrome extension gives you almost all the same stats (just not some of the long-term charts on ranking and follower growth) and does not require opening your profile up to third party sites (like CB Explorer or CB Hours).
To enable this feature you have to check the "Upload to CB Cam Insights" option in the settings section of the chrome extension.
Importing Chaturbate info to CB Cam Insights
The chrome extension offers two convenience features making it much easier to import data to CB Cam Insights for more analytics.
Full Tipping History
You can already import your full token history over the last month in CB Cam Insights via the token uploads feature. But you have to first find this in your Chaturbate account, download it locally only to then upload it to CB Cam Insights requiring quite a few steps. The feature in the chrome extension automates all of these steps into a single button click - you just have to press the "Upload from Chaturbate "button and confirm, and it's done - all your purchases and tips are synced into CB Cam Insights.
User Notes
With a single button click you can import all of your user notes from Chaturbate to CB Cam Insights which makes them searchable and show up in CB Cam Insights as well as the "Notes" section of your tipper info within the chrome extension.
warning
This will fetch user notes for all Chaturbate users you have notes for and upload them to CB Cam Insights. It might take a little while if you have a lot of notes since Chaturbate only allows retrieving this information one by one, so it's recommended you do NOT do this in the middle of a broadcast, but when you are offline. This will overwrite all notes you might currently have for a tipper in CB Cam Insights.
You can redo the user notes upload at any time to update your notes.
